Headteacher's Introduction

I would like to extend a warm welcome to anyone reading our website and hope that in whatever capacity you are reading this you will recognise the strengths, achievement and potential that exists within our fast improving school.

We are a true comprehensive school and are proud of the diversity of our intake and the success of the school as a dynamic outward looking learning community.

We are an improving school and realise that we have yet to reach our full potential. The examination results this year do, however, prove that we are making rapid progress in our journey to excellence. We are fortunate to have a body of students, staff, parents and governors focused on making Chiswick Community School an outstanding learning community.

Our focus is on developing the whole child by providing a “holistic” learning experience designed to prepare students to take their place in a fast changing society. Academic performance is of course a vital part of this education but it is by no means the whole story; our emphasis on an Opening Minds Curriculum at KS3 and on developing Emotional Intelligence across the school demonstrates our commitment to enabling students to develop a range of skills, attributes and techniques that will serve them well later in life.

As a specialist Technology College there is a strong focus on using our modern resources within an environment that supports and encourages students to realise their potential in all fields. We are working with a number of primary and business partners and constantly seek new opportunities to extend our work with the local community.

The website shows the wide variety of opportunities that Chiswick Community School offers and how we ensure that students follow a suitable curriculum, allowing them to develop their individual talents and interests whilst developing personally and socially.
